Mama Lil Subdivision
Project Details
Atlantic South was responsible for providing comprehensive engineering services for the site design of a nine-lot residential development on Johns Island. Despite initial conflicts with the project, Atlantic South successfully overcame the challenges encountered. The scope of the project included intricate tasks such as minor site infill and grading, construction of a new church building, parking area, asphalt roadways, installation of water and sewer service utilities, and implementation of a stormwater system complete with a pond.
To initiate the project, Atlantic South prepared a conceptual design for the owner's review and then proceeded to develop preliminary plans with detailed design calculations for submission to the City of Charleston Technical Review Committee (TRC) for approval. In addition to this, Atlantic South made necessary presentations and provided all required documentation, including design calculations, for review by relevant authorities such as the City of Charleston, Charleston Water System, SCDHEC-OCRM, and SCDOT to comply with regulations.
Throughout the construction phase, Atlantic South conducted erosion control inspections and produced comprehensive reports as mandated by the General Construction Permit and the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan. Upon completion of the project, Atlantic South meticulously prepared closeout documentation to be submitted to The City of Charleston, Charleston Water System, and SCDHEC.
